Transforming self storage in Croydon

We're on a mission to redefine London's self-storage landscape. Our Chiswick site is already in development and we're keeping the momentum going. HOLD's new storage facility in Croydon will raise the bar for self storage south of the river.

As with our North London facility, it will provide a next-gen storage service for businesses and individuals. Going beyond traditional storage, we uphold a service that's tailored to our customers' needs.

Our vision for Croydon

We're transforming a 0.4428-hectare site at Lombard Roundabout into something extraordinary. Currently home to a car dealership, this space will become a cornerstone of Croydon's business community, combining high-quality design with outstanding customer experience and sustainable development.

We'll aim to satisfy all the storage needs of Croydon customers, providing secure, hassle-free solutions for locals and visitors alike. From business storage to personal storage (and everything in between), we'll the right unit for you.

What's the size of the Croydon facility?

The initial 2,043 square meters of space is just the beginning - we've future-proofed our building to grow to 9,644 square meters through additional mezzanine floors, ensuring we can adapt as our community's needs evolve.

Along the northern frontage, you'll find our innovative workpods and creative spaces, specifically designed for local residents, small businesses, and startups.

Easy access when you need it

We've carefully planned every detail to make using our self storage facility convenient. 11 parking spaces will include accessible bays, electric vehicle charging, and car sharing options.

We're also adding 16 bicycle spaces and three dedicated unloading bays with direct lift access, all centrally located for maximum convenience.

Building a sustainable future

Sustainability isn't just a buzzword for us – it's core to everything we do. Our facility is designed to achieve BREEAM 'Outstanding' status, placing us in the top 10% of the UK's most environmentally performing buildings.

Through careful carbon lifecycle modelling, we're creating storage solutions that will operate at net-zero carbon from day one.

Investing in the Croydon community

This development goes beyond providing storage. It will secure up to 344 permanent jobs through the small and medium businesses using our facility, generate £19.6 million annually for the local economy, and contribute over £261,000 in yearly business rates. During construction, we'll create an additional 133 jobs, adding £12.7 million to the local economy.
